Creek People is in the midst of creating a Master Plan for Julia Faye Mitchell Park. Julia Faye Mitchell was a pillar in the east Austin community who recently passed away. This dedication has the support of the Blackshear Neighborhood Association as well as the Mitchell family. The Master Plan will include completed Creek People phases and proposed future restoration, connections, and place making. It will also include a bronze tribute to Julia to honor her dedication to diversity and positive change in a historically underserved area of East Austin. The Plan will aide in conversation and grant funding to realize the community supported projects and formal dedication.
